Sniffari
Legal & data
Everything about the deal between you, your dog, and Sniffari — in one place.
- Our OpenStreetMap data — credits, license, and how the place layer is built.
The remaining documents — Terms of Use & community rules, Privacy Policy, Delete your account and Support — are being finalized with our legal review and will be published here as each one is ready. Until then, this page is the agreement summary, and support@sniffari.app answers anything the documents would.
The short version
Sniffari is a community map — be the person (and dog) you'd want to meet on a trail. Sniffari has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior: report any place, photo, review or profile from its "⋯" menu in a couple of taps — reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours — and block any user to immediately hide their content. Reviews, photos and place suggestions you add are shared with the community to make the map better for everyone; don't post anything you don't have the right to share. Browsing and contributing are free, forever.
Your data, in short
Your account is your email address — no passwords stored, no ad trackers. Photo uploads have location metadata stripped on-device, and on-site verification never stores your raw coordinates. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing support@sniffari.app, any time — your personal data is erased apart from the safety and legal records we must keep, and the reviews, photos, places and verifications the community already relies on are permanently anonymized. The full Privacy Policy spells all of this out and is published here once our legal review completes.
